To celebrate the launch of the Centre for the Study of Sexuality and Culture, The University of Manchester is to host ‘Sexuality After Foucault’, a conference of international significance exploring new directions in the study of sexuality, which takes place from 28 - 30 November at the Weston Conference Centre, <a href=maps.msn.com TARGET=_BLANK>Manchester. The conference brings together experts from a range of disciplines that are involved in sexuality and gender studies, and will endeavour to foster a stimulating intellectual exchange between UK researchers and international scholars. It aims to debate the continuing relevance of the French philosopher Michel Foucault's work in a changing historical context, to assess its strengths and limitations, and to develop new theoretical approaches to the study of sexuality.
