Fuzzy Garhammer war übrigens ein Snowboard-Pionier der ersten Stunde, wie wir von Acid Snow erfahren:

In 1982/83 Switzerland and France were the first countries which scent the new way of skiing. In Germany the brothers Harald and Michael Strunk from Willingen recognize that the American boards, which were constructed for deep snow, weren't suitable for the German mountains. Since 1975 they developed with the trick ski world champion Fuzzy Garhammer the snowsurfer Swingbo 01 for pistes. About four years the snowsurfers (also called snowskaters) terrorized the Alps until the Americans created better boards with better bindings. These snowboards with iron edges became totally suitable for hard pistes. And the snowboard industry increased.
