Infamy at last for Carry On film's celebrated one-liner

A CLASSIC quip from a 1960s British comedy romp has won the vote to find the best movie one-liner of all time.

Camp comedian Kenneth Williams took the number one spot in the poll with his legendary Carry On, Cleo gag - "Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!"

The line was voted the best one-line joke in a poll of comedians, film industry figures and movie fans.

Second in the survey was from the Monty Python classic Life of Brian - "He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy."

Third was the Airplane! classic in which Leslie Nielsen is asked: "Surely you can't be serious?" and replies: "I am serious - and don't call me Shirley."
